Camping
Dick and Cat wanted to go camping. Dick asked Bonnie. Dick asked around, then somehow the word got out and it was a CAMPING TRIP.
Which he's okay with, really. He doesn't get much chance to hang around with other kids.
They pick a spot a good distance from the bar, near enough to the lake that washing and swimming can happen, not so close to the forest that demon bunnies are a severe threat, and set about pitching a camp for the weekend, or whenever they all get bored...

Re: Campfire's burning
"Lots of fun." He grins. "Two of my friends were a phoenix and a - pterodactyl, I think, but he still had his head."

Re: Campfire's burning
"It was where its head should've been, I think. And it did look a bit creepy, but I think he wanted to still be able to talk."

Gavroche nods. "I wanted to be able to talk as well, so I put it off to the last day to change."

"I've only done it a few times. I'd guess it's about putting them in the right place so they get enough heat, but not in the fire?"
Re: Campfire's burning
Re: Campfire's burning
"They did", he says with a nod. "At least, the ones I've run into since did. Maybe it was just because all the dead from that day are here now."
Re: Campfire's burning
Re: Campfire's burning
"We probably ought to", he says with a nod. "But I haven't even seen some of them for a while. I should go and see if I can dig Grantaire out of his room."

Gavroche grins.
"Occasionally he surfaces. I think when the rats stop bringing food to him there. Or he might see the others more often."

Re: Campfire's burning
"...you know, I should. For all of us, in one of the rooms at the House."

"Yes, we can. And knowing them, get very, very drunk." He eyes the sad remains of Autor's marshmallow. "I wonder if the demon bunnies like burnt sugar."

"Oh, I should think they'll bring their own. Except Enjolras, he doesn't go so much in for that."

"Comes with the day", Gavroche says with a nod. "And if anyone gets too maudlin, the others will mock them out of it."
All done with love.

"I was just the kid on the outskirts back then, they were the really close-knit ones", he says easily. "Except me and Courfeyrac. But we're not a closed group, even now."

"It's a start", Gavroche says cheerfully. "The others will probably get roped into this theatre of yours, one way or another."
