Haly's Circus: New York City!

 It's a quick stop between Metropolis and Gotham City. New York is what John Grayson calls a Red Pin town - big shows, and dangerous tricks, but it's smaller than Metropolis and is a warm up for the big shows in Gotham.

Dick waited until the punters were beginning to show up then grabbed a moment between rehearsals to run into the bar and collect his friends. So many people had said they hadn't been to a circus in too long, and that had to be fixed.

Also, he feels that if having access to a magic bar is going to do something, it might as well bring an audience to the circus.

X is dressed simply in a pair of blue jeans, a light pink button-down, and a white tank top.

It's a lot like the clothes she wore while in disguise in Eureka, honestly.

She is currently looking for a good place to be out of the way, while also keeping an eye out for any sign that she is improperly dressed.

Dick grins at her.

Apparently she's fine.

X does not grin back, though she does relax slightly.

"Other supplies will not be necessary?"

It seems safe to check. Before it is too late.

"Did you bring cash?"

That's it!

"Yes."

X's response is prompt.

"I requested legal tender from your where and when."

It's something she learned when Bruce came to visit. Different Secretaries of the Treasury, for one.

Different security measures, for another.

"Then you're set," Dick says.

"You think Tumnus looks like a human?"

X takes a moment to study the faun, head tilting as she mulls it over.

Then she paces a few steps, studying him from a different angle. Just to be sure.

She does not even think if Tumnus would mind. (It is only practical.)

"Yes."

Beat.

"It will help if he moves with confidence. People ignore many things. When other people are confident."

"Like in a performance."

"Yes," X agrees, nodding once.

It is good when friends understand each other.
