Haly's Circus: New York City!

 It's a quick stop between Metropolis and Gotham City. New York is what John Grayson calls a Red Pin town - big shows, and dangerous tricks, but it's smaller than Metropolis and is a warm up for the big shows in Gotham.

Dick waited until the punters were beginning to show up then grabbed a moment between rehearsals to run into the bar and collect his friends. So many people had said they hadn't been to a circus in too long, and that had to be fixed.

Also, he feels that if having access to a magic bar is going to do something, it might as well bring an audience to the circus.

Preparation

In the bar, Dick picked up a bunch of clothes that might be needed to disguise people: modern outfits for Aang and Almanzo, a hat and loose pants for Tumnus.

Then he rounded everyone up into a room upstairs.

Before the performance

"Alright, show is at seven, buy your tickets there, be in the Big Top by quarter of, I gotta go get ready!"

Dick points everything out, and runs off towards a fenced off area behind the Big Top, yelling as he leaves: "buy something to eat!"

Then he leaves everyone in a group, surrounded by concession stalls (Hotdogs! Sodas! Fries!) Souvenir stands (Shirts and hats and buttons proclaiming the wearer's enjoyment of both Haly's Circus and The Flying Graysons), and many many sideshows.

Performance

Under the ringmastery of C.C. Haly comes a spectacular show of spectacularness.

There are clowns! They have dogs!

There are animal acts! (Lions, two tigers, and an elephant.)

There is a strong man!

All of this is building up to the headliners.

Headliners: The Flying Graysons

So far it's been the standard fare. But then out come the headliners: The Flying Graysons!

Jonathan, Mary and Dick Grayson pull out more than a few stops as they fly through the air with the greatest of ease. Somersaults! Passes!

At the peak of the performance, Dick himself executes a quadruple flip before being caught by his mother - something the Ring Master is keen to point out to the audience is only to be seen here, at this circus, with this artist!

Ooooooh!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!

After the performance

It's a while before Dick comes running out to meet people, having showered and changed back into his regular clothes.

"Hey guys!"

Tumnus is careful with the pants as he puts them on, they do seem as if they will fit his legs,

"Will these work?"

"I think they look stylish," Dick says. He circles Tumnus critically, examining him from all angles at least twice.

(All angles means above and below as well. All angles.)

"Tail out or in?"

"In would perhaps be best,"

His tail isn't that long which means it easily slips into the waistband.

Aang is supposed to be getting changed, but instead he's just flushing the toilet over and over again.

Dick nods, and steps back to look.

"A shirt'll cover it, too."

He tugs the shirt on, its comfortable and covers up though he fidgets with it, "Like that?"

After a few flushes, Dick peers around the bathroom door.

And watches him.

[daringyoungman]

"Yeah."

Dick does a handstand in front of him in case he looks different upside down.

"Stop playing with it."

"Yes, and then the hat,"

The hat is the least odd part but he still has to get his ears under it.

"Hat."

Dick spins around on his hand and flips over to the bed where he's piled clothes.

"I didn't know what would suit you."

He holds up two: A Metropolis Monarchs baseball cap and a green and black striped knitted beanie.

He has no idea but the beanie looks more flexible, "I'll try that one."

It's mesmerizing, especially when Aang uses his waterbending to force the water to flow in the other direction down the drain.

"What are you doing?"

....ut oh. He's been caught.

"uh...playing with your toilet?"

X is dressed simply in a pair of blue jeans, a light pink button-down, and a white tank top.

It's a lot like the clothes she wore while in disguise in Eureka, honestly.

She is currently looking for a good place to be out of the way, while also keeping an eye out for any sign that she is improperly dressed.

Dick darts over, and stands on his toes to pull the hat down onto Tumnus' head.

Then he turns him round to the mirror over the desk.

"Why?"

Tumnus blinks at himself in the mirror, "I don't look like me."

[daringyoungman]

Dick grins at her.

Apparently she's fine.

[daringyoungman]

"Hmmmm."

Dick sits on the desk, kicking his legs beneath him.

"You look like a human, though. Do you look not like you bad?"
